Question: I know some people know you as Mr. Seun Akindele, An Actor for Nollywood but for the benefit of our audience who may not know you very well can you introduce yourself and tell us some of the other things you do that we might not have heard about?
Answer: My name is Seun Akindele, a Nigerian, the last born of a family of 11. A graduate of International Relations from Lagos state university.
I am a film actor, a model. And I have done pretty much of nearly everything in entertainment besides singing.”Lol”.
Question: How do you get into acting in the first place? Can you talk us through the experience?
Answer: I started acting in 2005, after my experience in acting in a Reality TV Show”Amstel Malta box office,” and playing the lead role in the movie “on Bended Knees” which was an awesome experience.
It was a movie, produced by “Royal Arts Academy” and directed by “Lanclot Imasuen,” and working alongside with amazing actors as Chioma Akpotha, Chet Bashir Anakwe was interesting as well as tasking. I gave the project my best, and hoped-for great success which it actually turned out to be. And winning the award for “the most promising int’l actor” at the Golden Icon Academy movie awards, in Houston Texas, 2013. It fills me with such a deep satisfaction, And I give all the glory to God.
Question: Let’s talk about Nollywood film industry in Nigeria because that is your based. Do you think the actors and actresses here in the United Kingdom are more facilitated than the Nigeria counterpart?
Answer: I think actors in Nigeria are reasonably facilitated. As the film industry grows better and consistent.
Question: The reason why I am asking this question is because I have compared the two countries as well as the opportunities available for actors and actresses both here in the UK and our beloved country Nigeria. And I can see some variances or what do you think?
Answer: well, a lot of factors must be put into consideration when comparing the UK and Nigeria film business ,I think each of them has its strong points and produces various unique opportunities for the actors in each of their countries.
Question: Where do you see Nollywood movie industry in the next ten years?
Answer: I see Nollywood getting into more international projects and definitely a better state than it is now.
Question: What project are you most proud of and why?
Answer: “On Bended Knees” because it won me my 1st international award.
Question: what are the challenges you’ve encountered in the trade and how do you propose to overcome them?
Answer: Few challenges here and there, but I get along well.
Question: Do you have any project you are working on at the moment that we should watch out for?
Answer: Dazzling Mirage” is my latest film project. By Tunde Kilani, should be out in about a month or 2.
Question: Are you married or single?
Question: What are the challenges you have in combining your career and family lives together?
Answer: None at all, my family understands my job, and I have their full support.
Question: What would be your advice to the new generations of actors and actresses entering into the Nollywood movie industry and how would you advised them to uphold the good name and position the industry have achieved so far?
Answer: Firstly, as an aspiring actor, you have to be sure it’s the line of work you really want to choose for yourself, then with the right acting skill, and God’s direction, you’re good to go! And upholding the good name and position the industry have since the last decade won’t be a problem.
Question: Do you have any role model?
Answer: Bill Gates.
Question: what are your hobbies, how do you unwind from your daily activities?
Answer: I love watching films, and I would often go to the cinemas.
Question: Tell us some of your unique qualities?
Answer: In totality…”SEUN AKINDELE” is a unique Brand with special skill…I do what only me can do.
Question: Who has the greatest influence on your life?
Question: Who is the most important person in your life?
Answer: My parents!
Question: Can you tell us the last words you hold on to like a quote you will always want to remember?
Answer: “NOT FOR US ALONE BUT FOR OTHERS”
